This wine comes mainly from the eastern part of the appellation, where the soils, made up of equal parts sand and pebbles, contain no limestone.
80 % Grenache noir
10 % Syrah
10 % Mourvèdre
Maceration lasts around four weeks, during which time pumping over, punching of the cap and racking are carried out regularly.
The wine was not matured in wooden barrels, but in vats, in order to preserve its fruity and spicy aromas.
This wine has a dark ruby-red colour and a warm nose marked by aromas of ripe fruit and garrigue. On the palate, it has a supple, round attack, with tannins that are present but still young. The ripe black fruits express themselves with intensity, followed by a beautiful spicy evolution, bringing complexity and balance. The power is well controlled, with a freshness that makes for pleasant drinking.
